Free Software For Students

UNF provides students with access to a number of free software programs. All of these programs will run on both Windows and Mac computers.


Title Description How to Access Who Can Use this Software?
Office 365 Students can download and install the Microsoft Office ProPlus applications on up to five different devices. Learn more about Office 365 ProPlus. Log into myWings and click on the "Email" tile.
  • Click on gears icon in the upper right hand corner
  • Select Office 365 settings
  • Click Software
  • Then, click Install
  • When prompted to enter your email address enter your n#@unf.edu
  • When prompted to sign in and activate offer, enter your n#@unf.edu and your MyWings password.
Currently enrolled UNF students
Virtual Lab Virtual Lab provides students with access to applications such as SPSS, SAS. To get started, students and faculty just open their web browser and go to http://vlab.unf.edu. After logging in with their UNF ID and password, they will be prompted to install a free piece of software called Citrix Receiver. More information. UNF students, faculty, and staff
Office Web Apps Use web apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote in the cloud (without having to install anything). Log into myWings and click on "Email" tile. Click on the tab that says "OneDrive" Then choose "New" and select the type of document you wish to create. Currently enrolled UNF students

 

Students also have access to a number of computer labs on campus that house various computer applications. Learn available computer applications in the Carpenter Library or Contact the specific colleges to find out about the software available in their labs.
