ASL/Deaf Studies
An American Sign Language (ASL) minor is designed to provide students with basic knowledge of the rich heritage of the language and culture of Deaf people. It benefits students in a way that gives them an edge in employment opportunities such as teacher, interpreter, social worker, translator, criminal justice personnel, medical personnel, salesperson and many more professional career opportunities.
Community Sport and Tourism
Presently, we are not accepting new student enrollments.
The Minor in Community Sport and Tourism is a 12-credit program that introduces the concepts, principles and practices of commercial recreation and tourism. The program provides a foundational overview of sports as a critical component of the US travel and tourism industry - particularly at the collegiate, amateur, youth and recreational levels.
Disability Services
The Minor in Disability Services is designed for undergraduate students who are interested in working with individuals with disabilities in non-teaching careers.
Fitness Management
The minor in Fitness Management is designed to provide undergraduate students the tools necessary to gain employment in the fitness industry. The Fitness Management minor offers students an in-depth, hands-on approach to understanding the management and operation of programs and facilities in the health fitness industry.
Leadership
Offered by the Taylor Leadership Institute, this interdisciplinary minor is available to all undergraduate students across the university.
Learning Design and Technology
The Learning Design and Technology minor is for students pursuing all kinds of careers including education, health and wellness, government, business, and the industry as in all fields there is information that must be shared and people who need to be taught or trained.
