Digital Accessibility
Our Commitment to Digital Accessibility
At the University of North Florida, we believe that digital accessibility is essential to creating an inclusive and equitable environment for all members of our community. We are committed to ensuring that our websites, applications, documents, and digital tools are accessible to individuals with disabilities, in alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other applicable laws and standards.
We actively strive to meet recognized accessibility guidelines, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and we continuously evaluate and improve our digital content to remove barriers and enhance usability for everyone. Our efforts include regular accessibility reviews, staff training, collaboration with subject matter experts, and the integration of accessibility best practices into our design and development processes.
Accessibility Is a Shared Responsibility
While we recognize that accessibility is an ongoing journey, we are committed to making reasonable efforts to ensure that all users can access the information and services they need. We welcome feedback from our community and encourage individuals to report any accessibility concerns or suggestions for improvement.
By prioritizing accessibility, we aim not only to meet legal requirements but to uphold the values of inclusion, respect, and equal opportunity that define our institution.
