White Wolf Holistics
White Wolf Holistics began in December 2021 as a small, one-room practice started by Courtland Smith, a licensed massage therapist with deep roots in holistic health. Although Courtland brought decades of hands-on experience and a unique clinical skillset, he and his wife Ashley knew that turning their passion for healing into a thriving wellness business would require guidance, planning, and support.
As their client base grew, so did demand for services far beyond traditional massage. Clients were seeking help for chronic pain, nervous system imbalance, stress, and long-term functional issues. Courtland and Ashley had the vision to meet those needs with an expanded integrative wellness center — but they also recognized the challenges ahead. They needed help strengthening their business model, planning for growth, and securing the capital required to bring their vision to life.
That’s when they turned to the Florida SBDC.
With the assistance of Chris Evangelista and the SBDC team, Courtland and Ashley received the structured, practical support they needed as emerging small business owners. The SBDC worked closely with them to develop a comprehensive business plan that clarified their direction and created a strong foundation for expansion. They also received guidance in capital strategy, financial projections, and cash flow planning — critical components that gave them the confidence to pursue a larger facility and expanded services.
Beyond financial guidance, the SBDC provided marketing analysis, website insights, and help refining the business’s messaging and brand strengths. Having a knowledgeable advisor to discuss operations, growth decisions, and advertising strategies made the expansion process clearer and far less overwhelming.
With this support, White Wolf Holistics successfully transitioned from a single treatment room to a 3,000‑square‑foot integrative wellness center in the heart of Five Points. Today the center offers an expanded suite of services, including neuromuscular bodywork, applied kinesiology, bioenergetic feedback testing, PEMF technology, ozone sauna therapy, sound therapy, and educational workshops.
Community service remains a core part of their mission. They participate in local health events, host wellness classes, and offer certification courses. Their recent grand opening and ribbon cutting marked not just an expansion, but a meaningful milestone in their commitment to serving Jacksonville through integrative wellness.
With the foundational support of the Florida SBDC, White Wolf Holistics has grown from a hopeful vision into a thriving, family‑operated wellness center. Courtland says “Working with Chris Evangelista with the SBDC was extremely helpful in our business expansion. The help in designing a business plan, securing funding were invaluable. Chris was a wealth of knowledge and tools to help us. His contacts and network were exceptional, especially in finding funding. I cannot thank Chris and the SBDC enough!”
What began as a need for small business assistance evolved into a long-term partnership that helped them grow with confidence, clarity, and a strong footing for future success. Learn more about White Wolf Holistics.
