Jesi Young is a Small Business Consultant with the Florida Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida, serving entrepreneurs and small businesses in Marion County (Ocala). She brings a diverse background in entrepreneurship, marketing consulting, and business development, with a passion for helping business owners build sustainable and successful ventures.

Jesi has worked with small and mid-sized businesses as a marketing consultant and creative professional, advising on branding, website development, customer acquisition strategies, and business growth. She is also the founder of multiple ventures, including a wellness facility in California, which she launched with the support of the SBDC. Through that experience, she developed a comprehensive business plan and secured SBA-backed startup funding and was later recognized as an SBDC Success Story. As a business owner, she led and managed a team for over a decade, demonstrating resilience and adaptability while navigating a complex and highly regulated business environment and guiding her company through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath.

In addition to consulting, Jesi has experience developing and leading small business training programs, including workshops focused on branding, pricing strategy, and startup fundamentals. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento, along with certificates in Small Business and Basic Business from San Joaquin Delta College. Jesi is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs at every stage and is committed to strengthening the small business community throughout Marion County.
