The Job Catalog

The Job Catalog is a self-service application accessed through the UNF Administrative Applications. Any "jobs" that are produced by ITS are entered here. It is available to the general public in order for them to know what types of jobs are available; as well as, understanding the parameters of the job and whether or not there is any output.

Job Name

The "Job Name" must follow the naming standards set forth in the Procedures Manual. The first letter is a W; the second letter is the system; and the third letter is a subsystem. Then the last four are digits. This is a required field.

Job Title

The "Job Title" should be a brief but meaningful description of the job. The "Job Title" should match what is defined in AppWorx as well as in Banner. Keep in mind the various lengths of these fields when naming your jobs. This is a required field.

The "Pull Out Parameters from Banner" button is used to extract the parameters that have been entered via GJAPDEF into the Job Catalog. Once the parameters have been extracted from Banner, then they can be modified in the Job Catalog. If they are modified in the Job Catalog, the change is NOT reflected in Banner.
