Transition from Duo to Microsoft Authenticator

Life is unpredictable, and the college experience often comes with surprises, but online security shouldn't be one of them.

What's happening?

An important upcoming change in our two-factor authentication system. The University is transitioning from Duo to Microsoft Authenticator on Monday, September 25, 2023.

What does this mean for me?

Everyone at UNF must enroll in Microsoft Authenticator to access software and services that require your UNF ID and password. Authenticator will be available for UNF individuals to use on September 25. Duo will remain active for two-factor authentication at UNF for 14 days. Microsoft Authenticator will be required for two-factor authentication after Monday, October 9, 2023.

Why are we making this change?

Microsoft Authenticator was chosen for its robust security features and user-friendly interface.
Implementing Microsoft Authenticator for the UNF campus is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the security of our systems and provide a seamless authentication experience.
