Student Job Search & Onboarding

Welcome to UNF and our Osprey family!

Please read the important information that will allow you to work for and receive your pay from UNF. If you have any questions, please contact Human Resources at 904-620-2903.

Please review and complete the steps below in order

Step One:

Download the Workday App to your phone and log in using your UNF credentials.

Step Two:

Use the find feature at the bottom of the screen

Type “UNF Find Student Jobs” in the Workday search.

Step Three:

Scan the list of current jobs posted, select a job and apply.

Step Four:

Once you are offered and accept a student job, watch your Workday app for notifications in “My Tasks” associated with your job.

You will see an initial list of tasks. Once you complete those, another set of tasks will populate in your Workday app. Critical tasks that must be completed include Federal I-9, federal taxation elections and payment elections.

You must complete all your tasks in Workday and bring your federal I-9 documentation to Human Resources as soon as possible or you cannot work.

To complete onboarding paperwork. Please bring with you:

  • Acceptable documentation to complete your federal I-9; 
  • If you do not bring the original documents needed to complete your I-9, as shown in the link above, you cannot work for the university until this step is completed. Copies, screenshots, and/or pictures of documents are not acceptable.
  • Your bank routing and account number to set up a direct deposit through the payment elections section of Workday

Additional Instructions For International Employees

If you are an international employee working on a visa, please view the processing requirements on this website and email Payroll@unf.edu for an appointment prior to working. The Payroll office will provide the information needed to complete the I-9 process.
