Jack Slaughter and Sam Jacobson Non-Endowed Scholarship

Students eligible for this scholarship must:

  • Meet admissions requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida;
  • Reside in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, or St. Johns County;
  • Work to support themselves or a household;
  • Earn a minimum UNF recalculated high school GPA of at least 3.0 if an incoming freshman, or earn a minimum cumulative UNF GPA of 3.0;
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); and
  • Demonstrate financial need as defined by the University's Office of Financial Aid.

Students awarded this scholarship must also agree to:

  • Enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester and earn a minimum of 24 credits by the end of each academic year;
  • Maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 for the freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years;
  • Comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus;
  • Consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the Donors;
  • File FAFSA form with the federal government each year; and
  • Remain in good standing as a student.
