Whole Child Graduate Certificate
The Whole Child Graduate Certificate is designed for prospective graduate students interested in making a meaningful impact in education and nonprofit settings that serve children and families. Grounded in a playful learning pedagogy, the certificate emphasizes literacy, STEM education, social-emotional development, physical well-being and community engagement through service learning.
Through five engaging graduate courses, you’ll explore leading child-centered educational models, including Montessori, Waldorf, Public Waldorf, and Reggio Emilia. You'll also gain hands-on experience in UNF’s innovative Solve, Tinker, Explore, Play (STEP) Early Learning Lab, and may have the opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary study abroad trips to Europe, where students visit renowned institutions such as the Montessori International Training Center in Perugia, Italy.
This certificate is ideal for educators, nonprofit professionals and others passionate about whole-child development. Coursework may be applied toward a graduate degree in Early Childhood with advisor approval.
