FEA Conference - Research to Reality Competition

Overview

In this group competition, chapters will form a group of 4-6 members and develop a PowerPoint presentation to provide information which highlights how clubs, sports and other extracurricular programs impact student learning and development.
Topic: How do clubs, sports and other extracurricular programs impact student learning and development?

Guidelines

  • Groups should be comprised of 4-6 students (and students who are participating in the individual competitions cannot participate in this group competition).
  • Each school may submit one presentation, and the presentations must be created by the students.
  • Collaborate as a chapter to research the effects of teacher and student attendance on impacting student learning gains.
  • Use the information collected in the research to create a persuasive PowerPoint presentation.
  • The PowerPoint presentation should deliver the chapter’s research findings.
  • Length: 5-25 slides; points will be deducted for PowerPoint presentations that do not meet the length requirement.
  • Include a title slide with the title of your project and school name.
  • Include a credits slide with the student creators, sponsoring teacher(s), and the source of any non-original, multimedia elements (images and sounds).
  • Include cited references and a work cited slide (MLA, APA or Chicago style are acceptable).
  • UNF judges will score the presentation using the rubric below.
