Kristi Wilder "Are You My Friend?" Endowed Scholarship / Fellowship

CRITERIA:

  • Meet admissions requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida.
  • Reside in Florida for tuition purposes.
  • Earn a minimum UNF recalculated high school GPA of at least 2.5.
  • Live in Nassau, Duval, Baker, Clay or St. Johns counties, with first preference given to student(s) living in Nassau County and second preference given to student(s) living in Duval County.
  • Major in Special Education as a junior, senior or graduate student.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate financial need as defined by the University's Office of Financial Aid, if student is an undergraduate.
  • Be selected by a committee approved by the Dean of the College of Education and Human Services.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Enroll full-time each semester and earn a minimum of 24 credits by the end of each academic year for undergraduate students.
  • Enroll part-time each semester and earn a minimum of 9 credits by the end of each academic year for graduate students.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
  • File FAFSA form with the federal government each year, if student is an undergraduate.
  • Comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus.
  • Consent to release grades to the Division of institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the Donors.
  • Remain in good standing as a student.

RENEWAL:

  • Current recipients may apply for renewal and will be given preference pending availability of funding, and if all of the preceding requirements have been met.
  • Recipients will receive an award letter identifying the maximum number of semesters or credit hours eligible for scholarship or fellowship support.
