Student Health Advisory Committee
What is Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC):
SHAC is the university’s official committee dedicated to ensuring quality on-campus health care for students and advocating for student unique needs for health and wellness. You will be the voice of UNF student body and collaborate with clinic staff to create a campus culture that supports and prioritizes student wellbeing.
The Mission:
The Student Health Advisory Committee is an advisory committee to the Brooks College of Health (BCH) Student Health Services (SHS) department. Members of the committee represent the university student body and collaborate with SHS to ignite a passion for lifelong health and well-being through inclusive, high quality, evidence-based clinical care, health compliance services, and educational outreach program, supporting student retention and academic success and leading to rewarding careers.

Membership Requirements:
- Open to all currently enrolled students with two or more semesters remaining before graduation.
- Once accepted as a member, students may remain on the committee until graduation if they fulfill the requirements of membership.
- Attendance at committee meetings (two to three per semester), with no more than one excused absence per semester.
- Members must complete a minimum of 5 volunteer hours at SHS sponsored events.
Meetings:
SHAC members meet two to three times a semester at Student Health Services Clinic.
