![]() Dr. Julie Baker-Townsend, APRNNurse Practitioner
Julie is a Nurse Practitioner at Student Health Services at the University of North Florida. She holds a Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Florida, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of North Florida. She is a board certified nurse practitioner in Women's Health and Family Practice. She is an Assistant Professor in the Brooks College of Health School of Nursing. She teaches in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Mrs. Baker-Townsend is involved in the University of North Florida Nursing Alumni Association. She participates in professional organizations such as Sigma Theta Tau and Awhonn. She enjoys family activities such as serving as leadership in her daughter's high school marching band. She and her family enjoy traveling. ![]() Hope Gunn, APRNNurse Practitioner
Hope in an APRN specializing in primary care. Hope received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Virginia Wesleyan University where she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society for Nursing. Hope worked extensively in pediatrics and received her Master's in Nursing from Florida International University in 1995. Hope has had many years of experience in alternative and holistic medicine. She is a strong advocate for incorporating nutrition and natural remedies in treating common illnesses. She loves to educate students about the benefits of alternative approaches such as chiropractic, acupuncture and herbal remedies. In her free time, Hope loves exercising, reading and volunteering with her church. She also loves taking care of and cooking for her two busy and hungry teenagers. ![]() Amy Howell, APRNNurse Practitioner
Amy is an Advance Practice Registered Nurse specializing in Women's Health. She earned a Bachelor's in Nursing here at UNF in 1996 (summa cum laude), followed by a Master's in Nursing from the University of Florida in 2001. She has a varied background in nursing, but found a passion for Women's Health in 2015. Helping women learn about and take charge of their reproductive and sexual health is a passion for Amy. Amy is from Jacksonville and is married with two children. She loves supporting her children's athletics as well as travel, reading and cooking. ![]() Dr. Lillia Loriz, APRNNurse Practitioner
Dr Loriz completed her BSN at Georgetown University. She completed her MSN as a Nurse practitioner at Marymount University in Virginia while working as a nurse at George Washington University and her PhD in Nursing Administration at George Mason University, while working full-time as a nurse in clinical trials. She has been at UNF since 1996 and has been the Director for the School of Nursing for 12 years. Dr Loriz maintains a clinical practice at the University as a Nurse Practitioner at Student Health. She has a passion for nursing and for facilitating the learning of future nurses. In her spare time she is an avid cave diver and spelunker. ![]() Pat Richards, APRNNurse Practitioner
Patricia is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) specializing in family practice and primary care. She is board certified in her specialty by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Pat obtained her basic nursing education at St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing in Jacksonville Florida. She obtained her BSN at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, as well as a certificate as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner from UVA, and her MSN from the University of Phoenix. She obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from UNF in 2017. She also has an M.Ed in adult education from the University of Florida. She has been a nurse practitioner since 1976. Pat has been inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, and also holds membership in the Florida Nurses Association and the NE Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners, where she has held many leadership positions. She currently works full time for the University of North Florida, dividing her time between the Student Health Clinic as an APRN and the Brooks College of Health as an assistant professor, primarily in the graduate nursing program. Pat lives in St. Augustine and enjoys the quiet beach life there with her husband and their dog. She enjoys family time with their 5 children and 4 grandchildren.
