Travel Health Services
Are you traveling abroad in the future? At the University of North Florida, the clinic offers travel health information and appropriate vaccinations to students, faculty, and staff. Information is provided on general health risks of travel, risks of contracting diseases related to international travel and methods of prevention including vaccinations. Consultations include an updated computerized report about health issues to consider while planning your trip, and resources for maintaining your health while abroad.
Student Health Services provides:
- Pre-Travel consultations for locations worldwide with a printed health itinerary and personalized health advice.
- Testing for Tuberculosis.
- Completed documentation for required physicals or visa paperwork.
- Affordable Vaccines: Hep A, Hep B, TDaP (tetanus), Measles/Mumps, Rubella, Flu, Varicella (chickenpox), and Meningitis.
- Prescriptions: Typhoid Oral Vaccine (Vivotif), Azithromycin (treats severe traveler’s diarrhea), Diamox (treats altitude sickness), Malarone (or other malaria prophylactic).
- Referral to Travel Clinic Jacksonville for Yellow Fever, Rabies, or Japanese Encephalitis Vaccines.
