Academic Advisors at UNF are recipients of awards at both the UNF and Advising Organization level.

Outstanding Academic Advisor of the Year


LackardThe Outstanding Academic Advisor Award is given annually to a member of the Academic Advising Council (AAC) at UNF. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding contributions to the field of academic advising, genuine concern for students, excellent communication and collaboration skills, professionalism, and philosophical beliefs that are consistent with UNF’s mission. It is a prestigious honor that shines a light on a deserving member of the advising community.

Alex Lackard from the College of Arts and Sciences won Advisor of the Year for 2022-2023. 

"She is always so so so helpful. Picking out classes and talking them out with her is so simple."

"Ms. Whiteman is a wonder advisor, she responds in a timely manner and makes sure to answer all questions you have and wants to see you do well."

Outstanding New Academic Advisor of the Year

Candidates must demonstrate outstanding contributions to the field of academic advising, genuine concern for students, excellent communication and collaboration skills, professionalism, and philosophical beliefs that are consistent with UNF’s mission. It is a prestigious honor that shines a light on a deserving member of the advising community.

Tiffany Sukys of the Brooks College of Health Advising won the Outstanding New Academic Advisor Award for 2021-2022. 

"An amazing advisor, she always responds to emails and provides the best educational steps to help reach our future career goals. If she doesn't know the answer she is always willing to reach out or give us the resources to help succeed. An amazing advisor!"
