Fiscal Year End

The University Fiscal Year runs from July 1st to June 30th annually. Leading up to the end of the fiscal year, the campus departments and divisions must go through processes to prepare for the closure of the fiscal year. These processes include deadlines for submissions of forms and documents, clean up of negative available balances, and more. Constituents from each of the central departments and several strategic groups around campus come together as the 'Year End Team' to set these important deadlines and timelines each year. Adhering to these dates will help the University be able to effectively and efficiently close out the fiscal year. Banner to Workday Transition

Fiscal Year End for FY24 is a special fiscal year end because it also marks our switch from Banner to Workday for everything related to Finance and HR at UNF. Many of the fiscal year cutoffs themselves will not change, but there will be a more strict adherence to deadlines in general, as well as fewer exceptions made to accommodate late submissions. Several fiscal year deadlines are earlier than they have been in the past to facilitate the switch to the new system. Updates will be posted here as well as in the OspreyRising webpage and communicated out through Focus Group meetings and Osprey Update emails. Stay tuned for more information.
