UNF Orientation Travel Information
First-Year Orientation
Check-in
Check-in details for your orientation will be emailed to you about one week from your session date. Be sure to monitor your email for specific parking and check-in instructions.
Check-in for freshmen students attending two-day overnight orientation sessions in May, June and July will take place in the Osprey Fountains Residence Hall.
It is important you arrive on time for Orientation. Please give yourself enough time to arrive on campus and park before check-in closes.
Parking
Parking is free for our Orientation participants but you must have a parking pass. You will receive instructions via email, one week prior to your Orientation session.
Please refer to your parking and final instructions email for information as to where to park.

From I-95 (North of Jacksonville)
Take I-95 South. Merge onto I-295 South. Continue I-295 South until you reach the UNF exit 52. Exit left onto UNF Drive. Stay in the right lane as you enter campus. At light, make a right onto UNF Drive. Make a right at the next light onto Alumni Drive. At next light, make a left onto Kernan Boulevard S and stay in left lane, take next available left onto Osprey Ridge Road for Fountains Residence Hall.

Take I-95 North. Merge onto I-295 North. Continue I-295 North until you reach the UNF exit 52. Exit right onto UNF Drive. Stay in the right lane as you enter campus. At light, make a right onto UNF Drive. Make a right at the next light onto Alumni Drive. At second light, make a left onto Kernan Boulevard S and stay in left lane, take next available left onto Osprey Ridge Road for Fountains Residence Hall.

Take I-10 East to I-95 South. Take exit for SR-202, J. Turner Butler Boulevard East. Exit left to head east toward Jacksonville Beach. After approximately 5 miles, take the Kernan Boulevard exit. Make Left onto Kernan Boulevard South and keep in the left lane. After second light, take turn lane on left for Osprey Ridge Road, and continue on Osprey Ridge Road, Fountains Residence hall on the left.

Follow signals to airport exit. Stay in the right lane and take I-95 South. Take exit 362A towards I-295 South. Continue on I-295 South until you reach the UNF exit 52. Exit left onto UNF Drive. Stay in the right lane as you enter campus. At light, make a right onto UNF Drive. Make a right at the next light onto Alumni Drive. At second light, make a left onto Kernan Boulevard S and stay in left lane, take next available left onto Osprey Ridge Road for Fountains Residence Hall.

At second light, make a left onto Kernan Boulevard S and stay in left lane, take next available left onto Osprey Ridge Road for Fountains Residence Hall.

Transfer Student Orientation
Virtual Transfer Student Orientation
Transfer Student Orientation takes place virtually via Zoom. You'll receive an email with the webinar link approximately 24-48 hours before the Orientation day. In the meantime, it is important to start completing your Transfer New Student Checklist.
Please note that advising takes place separately from Virtual Transfer Student Orientation, so we ask that you schedule an academic advising appointment by contacting your college's academic advising department as soon as possible. If you are transferring to UNF with less than 30 credits, you'll want to contact First Year Advising.
Please remember attending Orientation is mandatory, and you will not be able to register for classes without attending Orientation in its entirety.

Parent and Family Orientation
Check-in
New Student check-in and Parent and Family Orientation check-in will both begin at the same time in the same location. Please monitor your email for specific parking and check-in instructions, as we will send you details for your orientation periodically leading up to your session date.
It is important that you are on time for Orientation. Please give yourself enough time to arrive on campus and park before check-in closes.
Parking
Parking is free for our Parent and Family Orientation participants. UNF utilizes virtual parking permits, so you will need your license plate information when you enter the event code for your parking pass. Please be sure to take a photo of your license plate before leaving your vehicle.
