First-Year Orientation

Check-in

Check-in for the 2023 Summer and Fall orientations will begin on "Day 1" at 10 a.m. and will end at 11 a.m. Please check your email for specific parking and check-in instructions. We will send you details for your orientation about one week from your session date.

Check-in for freshmen students attending orientation sessions in May, June and July will take place in the Fountains Residence Hall.

It is important you arrive on time for Orientation. Please give yourself enough time to arrive on campus and park before check-in closes.

Parking

Parking is free for our Orientation participants but you must have a parking pass. You will receive instructions via email, one week prior to your Orientation session.

Please refer to your parking and final instructions email for information as to where to park.

  • From I-95 (North of Jacksonville)

    Take I-95 South. Merge onto I-295 South. Continue I-295 South until you reach the UNF exit 52. Exit left onto UNF Drive. Stay in the right lane as you enter campus. At light, make a right onto UNF Drive. Make a right at the next light onto Alumni Drive. At next light, make a left onto Kernan Boulevard S and stay in left lane, take next available left onto Osprey Ridge Road for Fountains Residence Hall.

  • From I-95 (South of Jacksonville)

    Take I-95 North. Merge onto I-295 North. Continue I-295 North until you reach the UNF exit 52. Exit right onto UNF Drive. Stay in the right lane as you enter campus. At light, make a right onto UNF Drive. Make a right at the next light onto Alumni Drive. At second light, make a left onto Kernan Boulevard S and stay in left lane, take next available left onto Osprey Ridge Road for Fountains Residence Hall.

  • From I-10 (Eastbound)

    Take I-10 East to I-95 South. Take exit for SR-202, J. Turner Butler Boulevard East. Exit left to head east toward Jacksonville Beach. After approximately 5 miles, take the Kernan Boulevard exit. Make Left onto Kernan Boulevard South and keep in the left lane. After second light, take turn lane on left for Osprey Ridge Road, and continue on Osprey Ridge Road, Fountains Residence hall on the left.

  • From Jacksonville International Airport

    Follow signals to airport exit. Stay in the right lane and take I-95 South. Take exit 362A towards I-295 South. Continue on I-295 South until you reach the UNF exit 52. Exit left onto UNF Drive. Stay in the right lane as you enter campus. At light, make a right onto UNF Drive. Make a right at the next light onto Alumni Drive. At second light, make a left onto Kernan Boulevard S and stay in left lane, take next available left onto Osprey Ridge Road for Fountains Residence Hall.

  • From A1A and the Jacksonville Beaches
    Take Atlantic Boulevard or Beach Boulevard West. Turn left onto I-295 S. Take UNF exit 52. Exit left onto UNF Drive. Stay in the right lane as you enter campus. At light, make a right onto UNF Drive. Make a right at the next light onto Alumni Drive. At second light, make a left onto Kernan Boulevard S and stay in left lane, take next available left onto Osprey Ridge Road for Fountains Residence Hall.
  • From I-95 (North of Jacksonville)

    Take I-95 South. Merge onto I-295 South. Continue I-295 South until you reach the UNF exit 52. Exit left onto UNF Drive. Keep straight at the Eco Road/UNF Drive light. Take next available right into the parking lot entrance, then take a right into the parking garage entrance. Parking is prohibited on level 1 and orange lined spaces reserved for faculty/staff.

  • From Jacksonville International Airport

Transfer Student Orientation

Check-In

Check-in for Transfer Orientation takes place at the Fine Arts Center (Building 45). Please check your email for specific parking and check-in instructions, we will send you details for your orientation about one week from your session date.

Check-in is open between 8:00am - 8:45am.

It is important you are on time for the Orientation program so please give yourself enough time to arrive on campus and park before check-in closes.

Please Note: parking on the first floor of the parking garage is completely restricted, as well as parking in any orange lines staff spaces.

Parent and Family Orientation

Check-in

Check-in on "Day 1" for the 2023 Summer and Fall orientations will begin at 10 a.m. and will end at 11 a.m. New Student check-in and Parent and Family Orientation check-in will both begin at 10 a.m. If you are driving with your student, we recommend getting your student checked in at the Fountains Residence Hall and then heading to the Fine Arts Center (Bldg. 45) to check yourself in. Please monitor your email for specific parking and check-in instructions, as we will send you details for your orientation periodically leading up to your session date.

It is important that you are on time for Orientation. Please give yourself enough time to arrive on campus and park before check-in closes.

Parking

Parking is free for our Parent and Family Orientation participants. UNF utilizes virtual parking permits, so you will need your license plate information when you enter the event code for your parking pass. Please be sure to take a photo of your license plate before leaving your vehicle.

  • From I-95 (North of Jacksonville)

    Take I-95 South. Merge onto I-295 South. Continue I-295 South until you reach the UNF exit 52. Exit left onto UNF Drive. Keep straight at the Eco Road/UNF Drive light. Take next available right into the parking lot entrance, then take a right into the parking garage entrance. Parking is prohibited on level 1 and orange lined spaces reserved for faculty/staff.

  • From I-95 (South of Jacksonville)

    Take I-95 North. Merge onto I-295 North. Continue I-295 North until you reach the UNF exit 52. Exit right onto UNF Drive. Keep straight at the Eco Road/UNF Drive light.
