Favorite Jacksonville restaurants: Flying Iguana and Taverna

Favorite UNF tradition: Family Weekend! Love seeing all the Osprey families on campus!

Favorite college course: Cultural Geography

Why you came to UNF and what you enjoy the most: I absolutely loved campus and how beautiful it is. What I enjoy the most is getting to work, day-to-day, with our UNF students. Hearing about their experiences, how classes are going, their favorite professors and even the harder moments when their learning to navigate the adult world ahead of them or just missing home. Those moments I get to work to help students, those are the ones I love the most.

My advice to you is: Jump completely in to the college experience. Some of my best memories from college were doing something outside my comfort zone. Meet new people. Try new foods. Travel on a budget. But also try different study methods. Ask for help. Remember that tutoring isn't looked down upon in college--you're applauded for going. Jump complete in, but always make sure you remember what your goals are and why you're here.

Why you came to UNF and what you enjoy the most: I first came to UNF for graduate school and enjoyed the environment so much that I decided to pursue a career here as well. The community has always been very supportive, and the campus is beautiful. I love getting to work in an office where I can act as a resource for our incoming families and help them with the transition as their students become Ospreys!

My advice to you is: to utilize campus resources. We have a lot of great student services on campus that range from recreational to academic. I encourage you to seek support when you need it. There are a lot of caring and helpful individuals across campus to guide you.
