Leave Donation

The leave donation policy at the University of North Florida was designed to assist employees who are experiencing medical conditions resulting in a leave without pay status.

An employee meeting the requirements of the leave donation policy may receive donated leave if the employee or his or her eligible family member is experiencing a serious medical condition covered under the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. The employee must have exhausted all their accrued sick and annual leave before applying for the leave donation pool.

An employee may donate accrued leave hours to a specific employee or to the general leave donation pool.

If you are interested in donating leave to the pool, please complete the leave donation form and return it to the Office of Human Resources.

If you are interested in requesting leave, please complete the leave donation application and have your physician complete the certification of health care provider form. Return both to the Office of Human Resources.
