READ USA Literacy Tutoring
The READ USA Literacy Tutoring program is a new pathway within the Osprey Teacher Residency (OTR) Programs designed to support UNF students pursuing degrees in teacher education. This pathway offers UNF sophomores, juniors and seniors an opportunity to become literacy tutors. READ USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving literacy rates among elementary students in under-served communities, will train and employ UNF students to deliver daily, intensive literacy interventions to third, fourth, and fifth graders in Duval County. By participating, students will gain hands-on experience in the classroom while making a meaningful impact on young learners.
