School of Nursing Important Dates

The School of Nursing adheres to a strict admissions process. Important information about the dates of admission, interviews (Nurse Anesthesiology track only), decisions, orientation, etc. can be found below on this page. Note that the university-level graduate application forms typically open one (1) year in advance of the term to which admission is desired; changes were made in May 2023 by the university regarding when undergraduate applications will open for future terms. The exact date will vary slightly each application period.

All application forms*, transcripts, application fees, supplemental items, licensure, and certifications (if applicable), and entrance exam scores (if applicable) are due by 11:59 p.m. on the listed deadline without exception.

IMPORTANT: All dates and deadlines are subject to change without notice, based on factors such as the number of applications received and spots available. We encourage you to apply early.

If you are a candidate seeking an early decision under a military commissioning track and need to apply earlier than the application for the term you are seeking will open, please contact Dr. Beth Dibble at nursingadmissions@unf.edu.

Note that you may only apply for one admission period at a time; a decision must be rendered or cancellation of application entered before you may reapply for a different term.

SOARIN' is a new School of Nursing event for incoming students to come together with existing program students, faculty, and staff. Students will be able to take campus tours, buy their books, obtain their ID cards, etc. as part of this event. For future admission periods, this will be a mandatory, on-campus event.

The UNF freshman application generally opens online by mid-summer semester. This is not controlled by the School of Nursing; rather, this is determined at the university level. Effective for Fall 2024 forward, the university admissions team will handle the FAN admissions process and offers. The first batch of decisions will be released by the university on or around Nov. 15, 2023, for Fall 2024 and then will go out on a rolling basis after that date. Questions should be directed to admissions@unf.edu.

**Candidates who are admitted as freshman eligible for the FAN track must pay their Fall 2024 seat deposit to the university by roughly May 1, 2024, according to communications received in the School of Nursing from staff in Enrollment Services Processing.
