School of Nursing Accreditation & Pass Rates

Accreditation

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master's degree program in nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice program, and the post-graduate APRN certificate program at University of North Florida are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, (202) 887-6791.

The UNF Nurse Anesthesiology Program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs, which may be reached at 10275 W. Higgins Rd., Suite 906, Rosemont, IL 60018-5603 or at (224) 275-9130.

The University of North Florida is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. Individual contact to the Commission on Colleges about the University of North Florida accreditation status should occur only if there is evidence that appears to support significant noncompliance with a requirement or standard.

Prelicensure BSN

2024, 93.98% (first-time takers)

UNF School of Nursing's BSN graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam.  Currently, states/jurisdictions possess individual credentialing requirements for Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, and these can be found at the National Council of State Boards of Nursing's website.  Eligibility criteria for RN licensing requirements in the state of Florida may be found under the Florida Board of Nursing's website.

Family Nurse Practitioner

2024, 100% (first-time takers)

UNF School of Nursing's Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program graduates are eligible to sit for the FNP certification exam offered by either American Nurses' Credential Center (ANCC) or American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).  Once board certified, applicants seek licensure in the state they choose to practice.  Currently, states/jurisdictions possess individual credentialing requirements for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs).  Eligibility criteria for APRN licensing requirements in the state of Florida may be found on the Florida Board of Nursing's website.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

2024, 100% (first-time takers)

UNF School of Nursing's Nurse Anesthesiology Program (NAP) graduates are eligible to sit for the National Certification Examination (NCE) offered by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).  Once board certified, applicants seek licensure in the state they choose to practice.  Currently, states/jurisdictions possess individual credentialing requirements for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs).  Eligibility criteria for APRN licensing requirements in the state of Florida may be found on the Florida Board of Nursing's website.

Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

UNF School of Nursing's Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) graduates are eligible to sit for the PMHNP certification exam offered by either the American Nurses' Credential Center (ANCC) or American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).  Once board certified, applicants seek licensure in the state they choose to practice.  Currently, states/jurisdictions possess individual credentialing requirements for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs).  Eligibility criteria for APRN licensing requirements in the state of Florida may be found on the Florida Board of Nursing's website.
