UNF Faculty Association Ad Hoc Committees
Task Force on Government Policy
This Special Committee-empowered via Article 6, Section 12 of the UNF Faculty Association Bylaws and needed per Article 5, Section 2 of the UNF Constitution-and hereafter referred to as the "Government Policy Task Force" is hereby charged with- providing feedback to the Office of the Provost, the Vice-President for Government Relations, and the Office of General Council about important faculty considerations in proposed or enacted Government Policy
- providing feedback to the Faculty Association Executive Committee regarding strategies of the Office of the Provost, the Vice-President for Government Relations, and the Office of General Council regarding proposed or enacted Government Policy.
- providing guidance to the Faculty Association Executive Committee, the Office of the Provost, the Vice-President for Government Relations, and the Office of the General Council regarding proposed or enacted Government Policy.
The Government Policy Task Force shall exist for six months from its inception (August, 2025) unless and until it formally seeks and is granted an extension by the Faculty Association Executive Committee for an additional six-month term.
The Advisory Task Force on Government Policy is comprised of the following members: representatives from all five colleges and the Carpenter Library, as well as representatives from the Office of Government Relations, the Office of the General Counsel, and the Office of the Provost. The Faculty Association President shall be an ex officio non-voting member. Membership as well as any vacancy on the Task Force shall be filled by appointment from the Faculty Association President, in consultation with the Nominations and Elections Committee.
The Government Policy Task Force shall meet as often as is necessary to conduct its business. A quorum (>50%) shall be required in order for recommendations and decisions to be forwarded out of the committee. Committee business may be conducted in person or virtually.
