ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

Program Mission Statement

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science equips students with an interdisciplinary background in environmental issues, prepares graduates for rewarding careers in environmental fields, and trains the next generation of environmental leaders.

Student Learning Outcomes

Graduates will be able to:

Content/Discipline-Specific Knowledge/Skills

Demonstrate knowledge of environmental issues including their causes, impacts, and solutions.

Communication Skills

Effectively communicate ideas, research findings, and practical experiences to diverse audiences through both oral and written forms.

Critical Thinking Skills

Apply the scientific method to develop solutions to environmental problems.

Assessment Approaches

Assessment of the student learning outcomes will be conducted using a mix of written and multiple-choice exams, papers, a project poster and presentation, and an exit survey.
