Mission and Goals

The mission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) is to support educational quality with a focus on student success. 

The OIE mission is achieved through:

  • Leading and facilitating assessment and evaluation processes 
  • Guiding and monitoring institutional progress 
  • Providing training and professional development 
  • Documenting institutional improvements 
  • Conducting analyses and synthesizing findings to inform decision-making

Located within Academic and Student Affairs, OIE informs and facilitates continuous improvement across the University by providing leadership in the areas of accreditation, assessment, academic program planning, and program review. In addition, OIE promotes quality assurance about how the University meets its student-centered mission to educate the next generation of thinkers, leaders, and problem solvers.
