Mission and Goals
The overarching goal and mission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) is to ensure educational quality with a focus on student success.
The OIE mission is achieved through:
- Leading and guiding the inquiry, analysis, and reporting requirements to ensure the university's continued accreditation with SACSCOC
- Providing consultative expertise and leadership to colleges/departments on specialized accreditation processes
- Coordinating a comprehensive system for the planning, development, and regular review of academic programs
- Leading student outcomes assessment processes at UNF
- Collecting, analyzing, and distributing educational research, including but not limited to institutional survey research
- Supporting a culture of evidence across university units to support University decision-making as it relates to ensuring the programs, processes, and services offered are effective and contribute to UNF’s ability to achieve its goals and fulfill its mission
Located within the President's Office Division, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) informs and facilitates continuous improvement across the University by providing leadership in the areas of accreditation, assessment, academic program planning, and program review. In addition, OIE facilitates quality assurance about how the University meets its student-centered mission to educate the next generation of thinkers, leaders, and problem solvers.
