Supporting Faculty and Staff in Assessment

We are here to support all units of the university in the study of student learning. At UNF, assessment is a space of collaborative, data-informed inquiry and dialogue in and across units. We engage in assessment to:

  1. Collect evidence about student learning that leads to action in promoting student success.
  2. Enhance the value of UNF degrees to students, alumni, and the state.
  3. Respond to the requirements of the Florida Board of Governors and of the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC).

The Office of Assessment nurtures a culture of evidence, emphasizing an inquiry-driven approach to continuous innovation rather than simple compliance.

We embrace the assessment of student learning outcomes as a continuous learning cycle that promotes asking questions that matter, gathering and sharing evidence, and making decisions collectively that lead to action in promoting student success.
