UNF welcomes largest incoming class for second consecutive year
For the second year in a row, the University of North Florida proudly welcomed its largest incoming freshman class, enrolling about 3,762 new Ospreys across full-time and part-time programs. That’s an increase of almost 19% from last year’s fall enrollment.
Of the new class, approximately 3,426 are first-time-in-college, full-time students.
The Class of 2030 represents an accomplished group of students, including 71 student-athletes. In addition, 34% of students are the first in their families to attend college. This cohort of students comes from Florida and 36 states and territories across the U.S. and from 19 countries. The Class of 2030 also arrives with a strong academic record. Incoming students earned an average high school GPA of 3.96, SAT score of 1131 and ACT score of 22.
Pre-health, biomedical sciences, business management, psychology and biology rank among the most popular majors selected by incoming students. The largest share of freshman, 37%, are enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, followed by 22% in the Brooks College of Health, 16% in the Coggin College of Business, 15% in the College of Engineering and Construction and 5% in the Silverfield College of Education and Human Services.
Additionally, 445 freshmen students have been accepted into the Hicks Honors College, where they will engage in academic challenges and leadership opportunities, setting the stage for their future success.
This fall, UNF’s total enrollment has reached approximately 18,900 Ospreys, the largest in University history, up from approximately 17,600 students in fall 2025.
Students will benefit from a personalized educational experience supported by dedicated faculty and staff, including more than 30 new faculty members who joined the UNF this year. They will also have access to newly introduced degree programs, majors, concentrations, certificates, badges and accelerated pathways designed to meet evolving workforce and industry needs.
