UNF recognized among Money’s Best Colleges in America for 2026
The University of North Florida has been recognized as one of America’s Best Colleges 2026 by Money magazine, earning a four-star rating in the publication’s latest college rankings.
Money’s annual Best Colleges list provides families and prospective students with a practical guide to comparing colleges based on affordability, educational quality, cost and career outcomes after graduation. More than 2,400 four-year public and private nonprofit colleges were considered for the rankings, with only 735 institutions meeting the rigorous criteria for inclusion.
"Being recognized among America's Best Colleges is a testament to UNF's commitment to delivering a high-quality education that is both affordable and focused on student achievement," said UNF Interim President Dr. Angela Garcia Falconetti. "This rating reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff and students and reinforces the value of a UNF degree, from meaningful experiential learning experiences and career preparation to success after graduation."
UNF is part of the State University System, known for providing high-quality education with some of the lowest tuition costs in the country. UNF prides itself on affordable education with only 20% of our undergraduate students needing to take out loans.
Affordability was the largest component of Money's evaluation, accounting for 40% of each institution's overall rating. The methodology examined the estimated net price of earning a degree, the amount students from different income levels pay, student debt and graduates' ability to repay that debt.
