Potential Applicant Questions
-
What does a "Pool" mean?
A pool refers to group of individuals eligible to be considered for positions similar to the position being advertised. For example, a Custodial Worker Pool is group of applicants qualified to work in custodial worker positions. The department can review this pool of applicants and continuously select individuals for specific custodial worker positions as the need arises. -
How many times can I apply?
Applicants can only apply to a posted pool posting once. If updates need to be made to the submitted application, contact Human Resources at (904) 260-2903 or hr@unf.edu. Applicants can only reapply for pool postings after the listed period of the pool expires (e.g., one calendar year) and the posting has been republished. -
How long will the position be open?
Pool positions remain open for a specified time period that is explicitly listed on the posting. Pool positions can remain open for up to one calendar year. -
When will I know if I have not been selected for the job?
The latest an applicant will be notified of non-selection is the end of the month in which the period of the pool has expired and the posting is Closed. This date can be found in several places within the posting (Departmental Requirements, Application Deadline Date, and Special Instructions). -
What if I apply to only one (1) pool posting?
Applicants will only be considered for the positions in which they have applied. If an applicant only applies for the Custodial Work Pool position, then they can only be considered for a Custodial Worker position. They will not be considered for the Recycle Refuse, Groundskeeper, or any other position. Applicants should apply to each position in which they are interested.
