D. Chanslor Howell Endowed Fellowship for Special Education

CRITERIA:

  • Meet admissions requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida.
  • Be accepted for admission into a Master of Education degree program within the College of Education and Human Services.
  • Preference given to graduate students in Special Education.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Enroll for at least 6 credit hours each semester and earn at least an additional 12 graduate credits by the end of each academic year.
  • Maintain a minimum graduate GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Comply with all University regulations, rules and codes of conduct governing students on campus as defined by the student handbook.
  • Consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the Donor.
  • Remain in good standing as a student.

RENEWAL:

  • Current recipients may apply for renewal and will be given preference pending availability of funding, and if all of the preceding requirements have been met.
  • Fellowship renewals must also meet the following criteria:
  • Enroll for at least 6 credit hours each semester and earn at least an additional 12 graduate credits by the end of each academic year,
  • Maintain a minimum graduate GPA of 3.0
  • Remain in good standing as a student.
  • Recipients will receive an award letter identifying the maximum number of semesters or credit hours eligible for fellowship support.
