hands-on learning

Classes are taught in our state-of-the-art $500,000 high definition studio where students produce a monthly news magazine program and other programming.

We match upper-level students with media companies and professionals where students put their classroom knowledge to work while gaining valuable professional experience.

In their capstone classes students create advertising and public relations campaigns for real clients. Past clients include The Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society and the Hubbard House.

Multimedia Journalism students work every fall with the Florida Times-Union to write stories about local families facing hardships during the holidays. To date the series has generated more than $2.7 million in donations to help these families.
