How does it work?
So you might be asking, how does Apply in July work?
Getting an admission decision has never been easier!
- Pick your location. Can't travel to Jacksonville? No worries. In addition to Jacksonville, we're offering Apply in July opportunities in Boca Raton, Tampa and Orlando.
- Register for an appointment time. Pick the appointment time that works best for you and your family.
- Start gathering your documents. You will need to submit your high school transcript and test scores. We recommend securing these before you leave school for the summer (check out the 'Preparing for the Event' section to learn more).
- Submit your application — July 1. Our online admissions application will open on July 1. With the short turnaround time, it is recommended that you submit your UNF application as quickly as possible to ensure we are able to provide you with an admission decision during your appointment (see the 'Preparing for the Event' section for more details).
- Attend your appointment. Show up at your selected location before your appointment time. During your appointment, you will meet with an Admissions representative who will give you your non-binding, on-the-spot admission decision and answer any questions you may have.
What happens behind the scenes?
Once you have submitted your application, transcripts and test scores, our admissions processing team will review your materials and prepare your decision ahead of the event. If we do not have everything we need at least a week before your appointment, we may not be able to give you an admission decision at the event. This is why it is so important that you get everything submitted as quickly as possible.

Apply in July Admission Decisions
Here are a few things to keep in mind about receiving an admission decision at Apply in July:
- Decisions are non-binding. This simply means that you can receive your decision without making an immediate commitment to attend the University of North Florida.
- You may be admitted to a term other than the one you apply to. Based on your academic profile and our admission midranges (listed below), we will review your application for general admission into the University. Admission into a specific term or specialized program may be determined at a later time.
- Admission is not guaranteed. We work very hard to admit as many great students as possible during our Apply in July events. However, some students may be placed on our waitlist or denied based on their academic profile. We encourage you to review our admission midranges below to get an idea of how your decision may go.
Incoming Freshman Midranges
Wondering what kind of GPA and test scores you need? The Office of Admissions publishes the academic midranges of admitted first-time-in-college (FTIC) students as a reference. The mid-ranges represent the middle 50% of admitted students at UNF, not all admitted students.
