Project Requests
Important: Due to high volume we are currently unable to make exceptions to the processing time of requests.
Marketing Approval Request
- Branded and promotional items are submitted for Marketing Approval PRIOR to final production/purchase and any time an approved item is edited and/or reordered.
- Submitted Marketing Approval requests should include a draft/mock-up of the item being purchased.
- Items being purchased through UNFPromos.com DO NOT require a marketing approval submission. Proofs from UNFpromos.com are sent directly to Marketing and Communications for review; the purchaser will receive email confirmation once approved.
- Please note: requests will be reviewed by UNF Marketing and returned via email with approval or with requested edits within three (3) business days. Please plan accordingly.
Design Request
- The UNF Marketing and Communications department is available for assistance with designing marketing materials in support of University events and initiatives.
- When submitting Design Requests, please provide as much detail as possible including mock-ups, design inspiration, target audience information, etc.
- In the submission form users will be able to choose from several different design options such as print materials, digital materials, and social media.
- Design requests for print materials must be accompanied by specific verbiage for the item to be designed; please attach to the design request a Word document specifying verbiage to be used.
- Please note: Marketing and Communications requires a four (4) week window for completion of requests.
Lockup or Work Mark Request

The UNF academic logo is the primary identifier of the UNF brand.

Any Lockup or Word Mark intended to represent UNF is the property of the University and must fit all University guidelines.

When submitting a Lockup or Word Mark request, please provide as much detail as possible including College, School/Department, Office, Center, or Institute.

In order to move forward with a Lockup or Word Mark request, approval from VP or Provost is required. Please attach an email from VP or Provost indicating their approval when submitting a request form.

Two packages are available for delivery of created Lockups or Word Marks: Print or Digital. Details regarding what is included in each package can be found on the Lockup or Word Mark Request form.

Please note: Marketing and Communications requires a four (4) week window for completion of requests.
Temporary Signage Approval
Signage which will be temporarily posted around campus requires approval.
Examples are:
- Yard Signs
- A-Frames
- Directional Signage
Submitted signage requests should include a digital copy of the signage to be approved; please attach to initial request. Requests which do not have a digital copy of the signage to be approved will not be reviewed.
Submitted Temporary Signage Approval requests will be reviewed and responded to within 5 business days. Please plan accordingly.
**NOTE: If signage was created or approved by UNF Marketing and Communications, Temporary Signage Approval may have already been provided. Please review your design or marketing approval request to confirm.
Photography Request
- UNF Marketing and Communications provides photography services to visually support the University of North Florida's mission and strategic goals.
- Priority is given to projects that align with UNF’s strategic goals and support the University’s marketing, recruitment and communication efforts.
- The University photographer is not generally assigned to cover departmental events such as banquets, award presentations, receptions and conferences unless the images are needed for University marketing or media outreach.
- Faculty headshots are available through CIRT, and staff headshots can be taken at the Student Union’s headshot booth.

Video Request
- UNF entities interested in working with UNF Marketing and Communications for video services may submit requests using the Video Request form.
- Once requests are submitted, a professional from Marketing and Communications will contact requesting parties to schedule a video or conference call for efficient planning of the project.
- Currently, UNF Marketing and Communications is unable to assist with projects which require drone footage or instructional/curriculum/virtual tutorial videos however, UNF Center for Instruction and Research Technology (CIRT) can assist with projects which fall into these categories.
- Please note: typical production time for video requests is four (4) weeks.
