Marketing and Design Assistance

The University of North Florida Marketing and Communications department offers assistance for UNF business units to create University-approved logos, graphics for print and digital materials, and approval for branded and promotional items.

Social Media

The University tracks and lists all UNF department’s social media accounts on the “Follow UNF” webpage. If you have a social media account that is not listed on this webpage, have your social media administrator contact the University’s social media team at social@unf.edu.

Media Inquiries

When media outlets, including the Spinnaker, local or national news outlets, contact you with questions or for an interview, please forward the request via email with the requestor’s name, news agency and contact information to media relations. The team will evaluate the request on behalf of the University and coordinate responses and/or interviews between faculty/staff and media outlets.

Web Design

To obtain permissions and access to an office or department website, a web content editor must receive training from the Web and Digital Services team.

Photography

Submit campus photography requests via email to Jennifer Grissom.

Campus Announcements

Calendar of Events

Every event on UNF’s campus should be submitted to the Master Calendar of Events. Submit by visiting events.unf.edu.

Osprey Update for Faculty/Staff and Students

Osprey Update is an internal communication for campus announcements, events and updates. There are two versions: one for faculty and staff and one for students. 

UNF events and announcements that have broad interest to the University community can be submitted online by clicking the blue “Submit” button at https://webapps.unf.edu/ospreyupdate/

Digital Entrance Signs

There are electronic signs located at the three main entrances to campus, Main (by I-295/Town Center), Kernan Blvd. and North (near Parking Lot 18) that promote large events on campus and special messaging. All events must be listed on the online Calendar of Events.

Rotating Portal Tiles in myWings

University-wide events, initiatives or announcements may be highlighted on the myWings rotating tiles to reach students, faculty and staff.

Newsletters

UNF eCommunications with Emma

The University utilizes Emma, a system for mass-email marketing. Emma allows for the creation and sending of professionally-designed and university-branded marketing emails. The best use of Emma is for long-term, external subscriber-based communications in which individuals can choose to subscribe or opt-out of the communication at any time.

Inside UNF

The e-communication is sent to all UNF faculty and staff twice a month featuring news and information relevant to UNF employees. To submit a story idea, email Marketing staff.

UNF Arts, Culture & Life

This monthly e-communication is sent to 5,000+ members of the community highlighting cultural, intellectual and athletic events. The event must first be put into the online Master Calendar of Events. The e-community is sent out mid-month. Requests for consideration should be submitted at the beginning of each month.

Osprey Journal

This magazine is distributed to alumni, donors and friends twice a year featuring unique stories on alumni, faculty, students and the University. To submit a story idea, email Isabel Pease and/or Byron Jones.

 

Journal Advertisement

Journal advertisements can reach thousands of alums and friends of the University. Costs vary depending upon the size of the ad.
