Fire Drills
As required by the State Fire Marshal and Florida Statutes, the Department of Environmental Health and Safety has been conducting fire evacuation drills in select buildings on campus with assistance from UPD, Physical Facilities and Building Emergency Coordinators. On Friday, Jan. 16, a fire drill will be randomly initiated at Buildings 39 and 39A.

CPR, First Aid and AED Certification
This course provides American Red Cross Adult First Aid and CPR/AED training for currently enrolled UNF students, faculty and staff. The certification for CPR, First Aid and AED is valid for two years from the date of completion. Participants must

Student Art Exhibit
The Reimagined Materials exhibition in the Thomas G. Carpenter Library is a collaboration between Special Collections & University Archives and the ART3930 ST Bookbinding class from the Art, Art History & Design Department. All the books displayed are crafted by students using scrap materials. Through upcycling and repurposing these materials, students create both traditional and non-traditional artists' books that explore their concepts in creative and environmentally friendly ways. The exhibition will be open during regular library hours through Jan. 31.

Vicki Cornett Caring Award, which honors "random acts of kindness and deliberate acts of care" in the Silverfield College of Education and Human Services (SCOEHS). To nominate someone, email

Marketing & Communications Support Process
Marketing & Communications will introduce a new tiered support structure starting
Monday, Feb. 2, aimed at enhancing the University’s reputation and enrollment efforts. Key changes include retiring from the ServiceNow Design Request form and using Canva as the primary tool for creating graphics, flyers and event materials with UNF-branded templates. UNF employees with primary creative responsibilities can request access by emailing unfmarketing@unf.edu, after which they will join the UNF Canva Users Teams group for training and support.
