🎓 Engage UNF is YOUR hub for Experiential Learning and Academic Engagement! 🎓
Here, you can find experiential learning opportunities that meet your interests, expand your learning, and create new social and professional networks. Plus, we are constantly adding new ways for you to engage with academic content, faculty members, hear from unique speakers, and further enhance your time at UNF.
The "EL Activities" tab in the system will list recognized non-course EL opportunities that meet the Experiential Learning Requirement. You can search based on type of activity, keywords, activity host, and many other filters to find the right opportunities to fit your educational and professional goals. UNF actively adds more opportunities to this tab, so check back often.
For course-based EL Activities, UNF automatically enrolls you into the course in Engage UNF when you officially register. For more information on the registration process, check out the UNF Registration Guide or contact your academic advisor, myNest.
For non-course based EL Activities, some opportunities you can join directly and others you will need to apply for. If you find an opportunity, click the link to learn more about what you will need to do to meet the requirements for the EL Activity or how to get involved.
All your EL Activities and other opportunities you log through Engage UNF will appear in your Dashboard. This will help you keep track of ALL the things that you do at UNF through the Engage UNF platform in one place. We encourage you to use this information when talking with Career Services, your Academic Advisor, or Mentor about your accomplishments. You will also have access to a Summary Impact Record, This document, which you can access whenever you want, will be help you identify the bullets on your resume and be your answers interview questions.

I am having problems with the Engage UNF software due to a disability. What do I do?
If you experience difficulty accessing any part of the Engage UNF software due to a disability, please contact GivePulse, Inc. at https://support.givepulse.com/hc/en-us and click on "Submit a Request" at the top of the page, or email support@givepulse.com. When reporting an issue, please include:
- The page or screen where the issue occurred
- A brief description of the accessibility barrier encountered
- Any relevant details that may help us understand the issue (for example, assistive technology used)
- Your contact information if you would like to be contacted regarding the issue
Accessibility reports will be reviewed, and the user will be contacted as soon as reasonably possible.
New to the Platform (help logging in)

How do I join Engage UNF?
Every UNF student is automatically enrolled in Engage UNF. Before you can start using the platform, you will need to first claim your account in order to join the UNF community. If this is your first time logging in, you will be prompted to complete the account setup form. Your name and email information will be auto-filled, but if it is not, please insert any required information before agreeing to the Terms of Service. You will then be routed to your Dashboard as a member of the UNF group.
Note, you will only need to complete this step once. We recommend reviewing the Engage UNF Training – Accessing Engage UNF through MyWings training video for an introduction to the platform interface.

Need help logging into Engage UNF?
We always recommend accessing Engage UNF through your MyWings to ensure you are using your UNF credentials for Single-Sign On (SSO). Begin from your MyWings page and search for “Engage UNF”. This will take you directly to the landing page of the platform. Select the option to log in by clicking the personal icon drop down and selecting Log In.

Navigating the Platform (exploring Engage UNF)

How do I navigate to the Home page?
Once you have completed the steps to successfully log into the platform, you will begin from the UNF Landing Page. You can proceed to the Home Page by clicking “University of North Florida” on the top left. This is your home for opportunities across campus.
The personal navigation bar is accessible from any screen, including the Engage UNF Landing Page. We recommend reviewing the Engage UNF Training – Navigating the Main Page of Engage UNF training video to access an overview of the main navigation tips and techniques.

What do the three numbers mean on the Engage UNF Main Page?
We track the total number of impacts, the cumulative number of hours, and the total economic value of those hours. You can locate these numbers on the Main Page directly above the main navigation bar. We encourage you to watch these numbers grow as you continue your involvement with Engage UNF.

How do I find my Dashboard?
Everyone has their own personal Dashboard within Engage UNF. Navigate to the top right personal navigation bar to find content that is specific to you. Begin by clicking your profile icon to access a drop-down menu, then select Dashboard from the options. This menu will also display access to your Engage UNF Messages and your Profile and Account information where you can make edits to your personal details.

Where do I go to access my courses?
You can select Activity from the top right personal navigation bar to access the courses you are enrolled in or the groups you are a member of. You will also be able to access the impacts you have created or your upcoming registrations. Clicking any of the options here will take you to your Dashboard page. The personal navigation bar is accessible from any screen, including the Engage UNF Landing Page.
Keep in mind, Engage UNF will only display courses you are registered for that count towards Experiential Learning. If you do not see a particular course listed here, it is an indication that this course does not meet the Experiential Learning designation.

Exploring Engage UNF (finding groups/events)

How do I join or leave a group?
The process to join and leave a group is the same, and you can follow these steps at any time. Begin by navigating to the group’s main page. Click the “Join” button to become a member of this group. Alternatively, you can simply attending one of their events or opportunities to join that group. Some groups require approval or answers to membership questions before joining.
You can leave a group at any time. Navigating to the group’s main page. In place of the “Join” button, the button will now display as “Joined”. Click “Joined” and select “Cancel Membership” to leave the group. Your groups are accessible through your Dashboard page.

How do I search for events and opportunities?
There are several ways to search for events and opportunities. From the Engage UNF “Main Page”, you can scroll down or select Events from the main navigation bar to search through current opportunities for involvement. Alternatively, you can select Explore from the top right personal navigation bar.
Whether you found an event through a Group page or filtered for keywords that meet your interests, these opportunities change frequently so we encourage you to expand your network to include different opportunities, groups, and communities. How do I register for an event?
You can register for an event directly from the event page by clicking the blue Register button. You may be required to answer event registration questions and sign any waivers or documents. Your registration may also need to be approved before it is completed. You can track all Pending registrations from the Activity tab or by selecting Registrations from your Dashboard page.
You will receive a confirmation email indicating that you have successfully registered for the event, as well as any reminder emails prior to the event date. Please refer to the Engage UNF Training – Registering for Events training video for additional tips.

How do I edit or cancel my registration for an event?
Prior to the event, you can make edits to your event registrations from the Activity tab or by selecting Registrations from your Dashboard page. Navigate to the event registration page by selecting the event from the list. Then click “Update Registration”. If you need to cancel your event, navigate to the button with three dots next to the “Update Registration” button. Clicking here will display an option to cancel your registration.
Always keep event organizers informed by canceling your registrations if you can no longer attend. Refer to the Engage UNF Training – Registering for Events training video if you have questions.
Managing Your Impacts (submitting hours, editing impacts, understanding verifications, resending verifications)

Where do I go to ADD my Impact?
It is important to ensure your impact is logged in the correct location. If you have successfully completed your activity and you would like to submit your hours and reflection for verification, you can now log your impact. If you are logging an impact for a course, navigate to the Classes tab of your Dashboard. If you are logging an impact for a group, navigate to the Groups tab of your Dashboard. Alternatively, you can select the group or course from the Activity tab. Once you are on the correct page, click the blue Add Impact button to access the Impact Workflow.
Note, it is unlikely that you would need to enter an impact from the Home Page. We recommend reviewing the Engage UNF Training – Adding & Editing your Impact training video if you have additional questions.

How do I ADD an Impact?
After you have successfully completed your activity, you can log your impact. Ensure you are logging your impact in the correct Classes and Groups, then click the blue Add Impact This will take you through the Impact Workflow. Begin by entering your Start Date/End Date and the Duration of your activity in hours or minutes. Alternatively, you can select the Start Time/End Time which will automatically calculate the duration. The default impact type is “Time”, this will be the majority of impacts you submit.
Since every impact needs to be verified, you will need to select the verifier from the dropdown list or select “Switch to Write-in mode” to manually enter the name and email of an external verifier who will confirm your impact hours via email. You will have the option to share your impact with a group or course, and you will be required to indicate the Activity Host by manually writing the organization or community partner that hosted the event (such as the specific organization, the school name, the non-profit, or the employer that hosted the activity). You may be asked additional impact questions before accessing your “Review, Reflection, and Feedback” page. This information will be visible on your “Impact Summary” report for review.

How do I EDIT an Impact?
There are several reasons why you might need to make changes to your impacts. You may be asked to update the amount of time or date of the impact, or you might need to edit the verifier’s information. To begin this process, first navigate to the impact you would like to edit by clicking Activity from the top right personal navigation bar and selecting Impacts or by navigating to your Dashboard page and selecting the Impacts tab. You can select Update to access the Impact Workflow where you can make any necessary edits before selecting “Add Impact” to resubmit this impact to the verifier you have selected.

How do I MOVE an Impact?
If you have logged an impact in the incorrect location, you can move the impact. Begin by clicking on the impact you would like to move by navigating to the Activity from the top right personal navigation bar and selecting Impacts or by navigating to your Dashboard page and selecting the Impacts tab. This will take you to the impact submission confirmation page. Click the Actions dropdown menu and select Move to change the location where the impact is logged, beginning with the group or organization, and then the event you attended. You will access the Impact Workflow to complete this process.

What should I say for my Reflection?
Your “Review, Reflection, and Feedback” of your Impact is your opportunity to capture your experience and share your observations and key takeaways that you have learned. Try to focus on specific aspects of the experience and include your thoughts and feelings, if possible. Great reflections are about building connections between the activity and the material you’re covering in your classes. Be sure to cite specific examples and include takeaways from your experience.

If I run into issues, is there a quick way to contact “Support”?
If you are in the platform, you can message the Office of Experiential Learning directly by clicking Message under the Administrators section of the Home Page. If you run into issues or need to contact support, you can always reach us by emailing EngageUNF@unf.edu.

What does it mean when my Impact is “Pending”?
If you have successfully submitted an impact but that impact is not verified and displays as “Pending,” please do not create a new impact. Instead, use the following steps to ensure your impact is correct. Make sure that enough time has passed for the selected verifier to complete their process. Double check that you have selected the correct Verifier from the dropdown list or if you have selected the “Switch to Write-in” option, please check that you have entered the correct email address for your external verifier. Finally, we recommend reaching out to the verifier to confirm they received the email.

How do I resend a verification email?
If you have successfully submitted an impact but the impact is not verified and does not display as “Accepted,” please do not create a new impact. After you have completed the troubleshooting steps outlined in the section What does it mean when my Impact is “Pending”?, follow these steps to resend the verification request.
Begin by navigating to the Impact you would like resent to your verifier. Click on the impact to navigate to the impact submission page. From here, you can click the Actions dropdown menu and select “Resend Verification Request” to resubmit your Impact to the selected verifier. Note, if you need to change/update the verifier, follow the steps outlined in the section “How do I edit an Impact?”

Tracking Your Experience in Engage UNF (your records)

What is the “Impact Summary” report and where do I find it?
The Impact Summary report will display a breakdown of all activities that you have completed through the Engage UNF platform. You can keep track of all the contributions you have made, including Impacts, events, and activities you have been a part of while at UNF.
Navigate to the top right personal navigation bar and click your profile icon drop down menu. You will see an option to access your Impact Summary report. Refer to this report at any time, especially when you are completing your resume or preparing for interviews.
Please Note: If information is not recorded in Engage UNF it will not populate in your Impact Summary report.
