ExpLearn for Partners
Experiential Learning is an exciting opportunity for you to engage UNF students in meaningful and mutually beneficial ways. UNF students can apply what they learn in the classroom to real experiences, further enhance skills, and grow personally and professionally. In return, you get highly talented and dedicated UNF students to help your organization.
There are many opportunities to partner with UNF, from sharing volunteer opportunities on Engage UNF to promoting internships using Handshake to mentoring UNF students directly. If you are interested in connecting with UNF in any of these capacities (or others), please fill out the following form so we can best direct you:
Upcoming Features/Options
The Office of Experiential Learning (OEL) is exploring options to provide space on and onboard non-profit organizations onto the Engage UNF platform. This will allow external partners the ability to manage a group, create events, and share opportunities directly with UNF students. We actively are partnering with the platform vendor, GivePulse, Inc., to understand best ways to facilitate these features.
In the meantime, we recommend contacting the Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships (OCEP) if you are interested in this future option. OEL is working with OCEP on this broader initiative. Furthermore, OCEP can help connect you to other opportunities, resources, and units at UNF while this option develops. To contact OCEP, or for more information on their services, please contact cep@unf.edu or visit their website https://www.unf.edu/cep/index.html.

Experiential Learning Categories
UNF organizes Experiential Learning into seven categories. Expand each option to learn more about that type of EL. Clicking the icon for the category will take you to a new webpage for that EL category, plus campus resources, examples, and ways to accomplish.

Community-Based Learning
What is Community-Based Learning?
Community-based learning is intentionally designed, coordinated, and executed learning experiences in community-based settings that enhance participants’ academic learning, contribute to their personal growth, and increase their civic engagement while concurrently benefiting the community or communities in which these activities are embedded. Examples of this category include service-learning, volunteering, community service projects, living-learning communities, and civic engagement (course-based, for-credit).
