Regulation Development Workflow

Regulations follow a distinct process that includes review and approval by the Board of Trustees and, when required, the Board of Governors.

    Need Identified

    A need for a new regulation or revision is identified.

    Draft Regulation

    The regulation is drafted using UNF templates.

    General Counsel Review

    Office of the General Counsel reviews for legal compliance.

    Campus Review

    Draft is shared with campus stakeholders for feedback.

    5.
    President Approval

    The President approves the regulation for BOT consideration.

    Board of Trustees

    The Board of Trustees considers and, if approved, adopts the regulation.

    7.
    Board of Governors (if applicable)

    Regulations required by BOG rule are submitted for approval.

    8.
    Publication

    The regulation is published to the UNF Regulations & Policies website.
