Meet the Team

Judith D. Ochrietor, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology. As a cell and molecular biochemist, her research interests include cellular metabolism of the nervous system and the immune system. She has trained undergraduate and graduate students through her research program, with most of those students matriculating in graduate and professional programs. Dr. Ochrietor and her students have presented their research on the UNF campus, at regional conferences, international conferences, and in peer-reviewed scientific journals. In addition to research and mentoring activities, Dr. Ochrietor is dedicated to professional service and community outreach programs.

OUR Coordinator Kaitlyn MinnicksKaitlyn Minnicks, B.S., B.A | Coordinator of Undergraduate Research  |  Building 1, Room 1503
Kaitlyn Minnicks is the coordinator for the Office of Undergraduate Research. She graduated from UNF in 2021 with dual degrees in Psychology (B.S.) and Criminal Justice (B.A.) and now proudly serves and supports UNF students engaging in undergraduate research. During her time as an undergraduate, Kaitlyn participated in psychology undergraduate research and was a summer research intern for the Office of Faculty Excellence. Now, Kaitlyn is pursuing a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration at UNF and serves as the Secretary for the Florida Undergraduate Research Association's (FURA) Executive Board. In her free time, she enjoys trying new local restaurants, taking her dog to the dog park, catching up on tv shows, and spending time with loved ones.

OUR Project Designer Rebeca MataRebeca Mata, B.F.A. | Project Designer of Undergraduate Research   
Rebeca Mata is a UNF alumnus who received a degree in Graphic Design and Digital Media with a minor in Marketing. She is passionate about illustration, typesetting, and coding. As a student, she served as an officer in the CMD+N Graphic Design club. Her current personal projects are working on paper shadow boxes and stickers.
