We are so excited you have made UNF your choice to continue your college education!
We hope the Orientation program helps you become familiar with UNF’s expectations, traditions, and history. We want you to have a strong start as you begin your college life at UNF. We anticipate that you will greet the upcoming years with enthusiasm and confidence and that you will always be proud to be an Osprey!
About the New Student Orientation Program
UNF’s Orientation Program is an optional (but highly encouraged) half-day program filled with informational sessions, academic advising, and meeting and interacting with other incoming Ospreys.
Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. and in the first hour you have the option of attending the Transfer Student Resource Fair, formal programming begins promptly at 9:00 a.m following the resource fair hour. You will receive further details regarding the orientation schedule and parking instructions through your UNF MyWings email account.
The afternoon is then yours to take care of any University business; such as academic advising, registration for classes, purchasing your Osprey1Card (student identification card), books, meal memberships, financial aid, etc.
The Transfer Orientation program is not mandatory for you to attend. We do have an Online Orientation available to you under the What's Next tile in your myWings account. You will pay a one-time orientation fee when you pay your tuition to cover the cost of materials and program sessions offered at orientation. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the UNF campus and to see how you can get involved.
We understand that our transfer students are often unable to
attend on-campus Transfer Student Orientation due to work or current
coursework. That being said, we have created Online Orientation for those
unable to attend in person. Whether you choose to come in person, go through
Online Orientation or do both — which is our recommendation — you will
absolutely be prepared for your transition to UNF.
Online Orientation covers all the important topics, from
meeting with your advisor to our campus life options — and everything in
between. You can even mark certain subjects you would like to learn more about,
and those will be available to you at the end of the program.
To find Online Orientation, simply log into your myWings
account, click the What's Next tile and select the View Online Orientation link.
