UNF recognized for nonpartisan democratic engagement by ALL IN challenge

The University of North Florida has been awarded the 2024 Highly Established Action Plan Seal by ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, recognizing UNF’s strategic planning and efforts to increase nonpartisan democratic engagement on campus. This is the second consecutive recognition by ALL IN of UNF’s efforts to increase voter engagement during an election year.

ALL IN created the seal of recognition for higher education institutions promoting civic learning, political engagement and voter participation. Action plan strength is evaluated by assessing the institution's plan overview, leadership, commitment, engagement, goals, tactics, evaluation strategy and the National Study of Learning, Voting and Engagement (NSLVE) report.

UNF’s Democratic Engagement Action Plan was created by a coalition of civically engaged students, campus leaders and community partners.

“One important aspect of our continued success in civic engagement is that students drive much of the work,” said Susan Trudeau, assistant director of the Office of Service-Learning and Civic Engagement (OSLCE).

In addition to sharing the voting resources webpage, the OSLCE also hosts the Osprey Vote platform where students can register to vote, create a voting plan, learn about upcoming activities and earn prizes for participating in civic events.
