The courses below are self‑paced FEMA training opportunities. To get started, register for a FEMA Student Identification Number (FEMA SID).
CPR/First-Aid Training

Offered by the Department of Recreation and Wellness, this course offers American Red Cross Adult First-Aid and CPR/AED training to currently enrolled UNF Students and UNF Faculty and Staff. This certificate is valid for 2 years from the date of completion. Courses will be held in The Student Wellness Complex. Participants are to check-in at the Member Services desk upon arrival for directions to the training room. No refund will be issued for any CPR/First-Aid registrations unless the class is canceled by RecWell. If you are unable to attend a class, you can switch to a later class date (one-time only). Requests must be made 48 hours in advance.

Step 2: Complete the online learning portion at American Red Cross
- The online learning must be completed prior to attending the in-person skills class.
- Online learning time is approximately 2 hours
- A link to the online training will be emailed to those who register two weeks before their selected date
- To complete the online learning, you'll be prompted to login. First time users need to create a login for Red Cross. Trouble accessing online learning?
- After completing the online learning portion, the last screen shows your completion certificate. Screenshot this on your phone to show your instructor. You will only be able to participate in the skills session with proof of this completion.
Step 3: Attend the practical skills session (hands-on training) for which you registered.
- Hands-on training is approximately 2 hours
- Make sure to bring proof of your online course completion
- Certificates are emailed following the training
