The annual DHI Digital Projects Showcase provides an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to share teaching or scholarship practices that make use of information technologies to solve problems in interesting or original ways.

2020 DHI Digital Projects Showcase
The DHI's 2020 Digital Projects Showcase was held from Monday, 11/8 through Friday 11/13. This year's showcase was our first remote Showcase, and featured project posters, documentary films, and other multi-media presentations. The showcase built by our own Advisory Committee members, Andy Rush and Michael Boyles -- went live on Monday morning at 8am.

The DHI hosted its fourth annual Digital Projects Showcase on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Student Union West location, Rooms 3804, 3805, and 3806.

Call for Proposals: 2019 DHI Digital Projects Showcase
The 2019 DHI Digital Projects Showcase will be held on Friday, November 15, 9 AM-1PM, and the call for proposals is now open. All members of the UNF community are invited to participate, and we also invite proposals from individuals or groups representing other universities or cultural institutions. We are interested in presentations dealing with projects at any stage of development, as well as presentations on methods and tools. Presentations may highlight a project in its entirety, or may address a specific aspect of a larger undertaking. Proposals are due September 30, with acceptance notification by October 11.
Poster printing for accepted proposals will be provided by the Center for Instruction & Research Technology.
Proposal submissions should include the following: 1) full title of poster/presentation; 2) names of all participants, with academic/professional title (or major/program of study for students); 3) a description/abstract of the material to be presented (250 words max.); 4) name of faculty mentor or project leader, if applicable, and an explanation of any special needs regarding technology or equipment.

The Innocence Project has been exonerating the wrongfully convicted through DNA testing since 1992.
- Automating CIRI Ratings of Human Rights Reports Using GATE: Evaluation Results Joshua Joiner
This research project involves parsing human rights reports produced by the United States Government and rating the human practices for various countries based on the GIRi (Cingranelli-Richards) Human Rights Data Project dataset.
- Augmented Reality as Spectral Change James Beasley
This project presents the results of using Augmented Reality software to create an augmented critical experience at the Players Tournament, altering the cycle of spectacle and consumption inherent in the TPC site.
- Applied Deep Learning: Automated Segmentation of White Matter Hyperintensities (WMH) on Brain MR Images Matt Berseth
This project outlines the training procedure for a system that will automatically identify and segment white matter hyperintensities in T1 and FLAIR MRI sequences.
- Rapid Processes for Educational Resource Creation Nicholas Eastham
Creating rapid processes for educational material creation that could ultimately be used for all students.

Call For Proposals
Date: Wednesday, November 2, 2016, 8:30–noon
Location: Student Union West, rooms 3804, 3805, and 3806
This interactive showcase event will provide UNF students, faculty and staff an opportunity to share their work on digital projects. Participants are encouraged to consider innovative ways to display their work and engage with the public. Presentations may highlight a project in its entirety, or may address a specific aspect of a larger undertaking. We are interested in presentations dealing with projects at any stage of development. Students may present their work on faculty–led projects or on other endeavors they have undertaken individually, whether as part of UNF coursework or in any other context.
Presenters will be provided with tables and trifold display boards, suitable for mounting posters 4” wide X 3” tall. The DHI can provide sample posters to assist presenters in getting started, and can help to print posters at minimal cost. The DHI will also work with presenters on a case–by–case basis to arrange for other types of displays.
The schedule for the event will be as follows: 8:30–10:00 Coffee and setup; 10:00 Opening remarks; 10:15–11:45 Digital Projects Showcase; 11:45 Closing remarks.
All UNF students, faculty and staff are welcome to participate. To apply, please submit a proposal including the following: 1) full title of poster/presentation; 2) names of all participants (with professional title, or major or program of study, as appropriate); 3) a description of the material to be presented (250 words max.); 4) name of faculty mentor or project leader, if applicable; and 5) an explanation of any special needs regarding technology or equipment.
