Career Quest completion and registration hold information

UNF Career Services is committed to your success, and in alignment with requirements established by the Board of Governors for the State University System of Florida, we developed Career Quest.  This career readiness training is uniquely designed for UNF Students to equip you with knowledge, skills, and resources to position yourself as a candidate of choice for future internship and job opportunities.  While required for all new and readmitted students, our aim is to ensure proactive career-focused students day one, at the start of your college career. We want you to be career ready.
Specifically, you will:
  • Learn how to make “smart” decisions regarding majors
  • Explore majors in connection to career options and job market data
  • Complete a career assessment
  • Gain access to internship opportunities and career information
  • Learn how to develop professional skills and gain experience
  • Start a Career Action Plan for success

"Smart" means the major

  • is a great fit in connection to your interests and abilities
  • aligns with your goals to be trained for a specific job or to gain skills and experiences to meet industry demands for a variety of careers
  • was selected with confidence and a validated choice you are less likely to change

As you prepare to fully engage in this career planning module, there are a few things to keep in mind. You will receive an email, sent on behalf of Career Services, prompting you to complete Career Quest. You will also see an initial hold on your student account to ensure you are aware of this requirement. However, if the Career Quest training requirement was not completed by January 30, 2024, an official hold preventing course registration for future semesters was placed on your student account. To remove this hold, please complete all of the Career Quest requirements. 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • You are not able to complete this requirement using cell phones or tablets.
  • It is recommended you use a standard PC or laptop, as students have experienced significant issues with completing the training when using any Apple product. (Potential fix: Uncheck “Prevent cross-site tracking" on these systems before starting the training)
 
 
Career Quest training takes approximately 45 minutes to complete online. Once completed, the hold will be removed within 24 hours. To get started, follow the steps below:
 

Accessing Career Quest

  • Log in to myWings
  • Click: Student 
  • Click: Training and Development 
  • Click: Osprey Ascend 
  • Click: View My Transcript  
  • Select: Career Quest and complete the training, including the required Quiz.  Your score must be at least 80%.  
  • To verify completion, under “Filter by Training Status” on your transcript, select “Completed”.  You may then view and screenshot or print your “Certificate of Completion".
