2017-2018 Academic Year Timeline

Phase One:  Request To Plan

Submission Deadline:    February 1st or September 1st

  • Undergraduate Programs submit to the Dean of Undergraduate Studies
  • Graduate Programs submit to the Dean of the Graduate School

Phase Two: Degree Program Proposal

Submission Deadline: February 1st or September 1st

  • Undergraduate Programs submit to the Dean of Undergraduate Studies
  • Graduate Programs submit to the Dean of the Graduate School

Phase Three, Four, and Five:  Faculty and University Governance 

Baccalaureate and masters level degree programs receive final approval by the Board of Trustees.  Doctoral programs require Board of Governors approval.  The Board of Governors considers doctoral programs at the June and November meetings.  Proposals are generally submitted at least three months in advance of the Board of Governors meeting.  For June meetings plan on a mid-March submission and for November meetings plan on a mid-August submission.  The Board of Governors staff will send out a call for proposals.
