Residence Life Officer

Residence Life Officers (RLOs) work as a cooperative effort between the UPD, the Office of Residence Life and the University Housing Office to ensure the safety of students, staff and the public in the University Housing Community through prevention, intervention and enforcement.

The RLOs' responsibilities include conducting patrols, investigating criminal incidents, writing reports, and assisting other law enforcement officers with calls within the residential housing buildings. They coordinate with members of the Residence Life Staff to identify and handle quality of life issues, present training and handle any other issues that may arise.

RLOs are assigned to the day shift and night shift, and they make be contacted by calling the UPD at 904-620-2800.
