ScholarshipUniverse is the University of North Florida’s scholarship-matching platform designed to connect students with both UNF-specific and external scholarship opportunities.

Getting Started on ScholarshipUniverse

  • Students can get started by visiting unf.scholarshipuniverse.com and logging in with their UNF credentials. 

  • Students must be admitted to use ScholarshipUniverse and have set up their UNF credentials by logging into myWings for the first time.

 

HOW IT WORKs

Automatic Matching

Once a student logs in with their UNF credentials, the platform uses their academic data—such as major, GPA, and class standing—to automatically match them with eligible UNF scholarships. Many of these internal scholarships require no additional application; if a student is selected, they receive a notification via their UNF email.

Personalized Search

To uncover more opportunities, especially external scholarships, students can answer additional matching questions within the platform. The more questions they complete, the better ScholarshipUniverse can tailor its recommendations to their unique profile, including factors like financial need, interests, and extracurricular activities.

Application Process

For scholarships that require applications, ScholarshipUniverse provides direct links to the application pages. Students can track their application status and manage deadlines all within the platform.

Regular Updates

As new scholarships become available, ScholarshipUniverse updates its database. By regularly logging in and keeping their profile up to date, students can ensure they don’t miss out on new opportunities.

  • What is ScholarshipUniverse?
    ScholarshipUniverse is designed to maximize scholarship opportunities for students. It helps students discover a wide range of relevant and legitimate scholarships, all in a mobile-friendly site.
  • How does the ScholarshipUniverse platform work?
    By creating a ScholarshipUniverse profile and answering the scholarship matching questions, you will be able to maximize your opportunities for a variety of scholarships. ScholarshipUniverse has a robust search feature and will automatically match you to scholarships that you qualify for based on your responses to the matching questions.
  • Who can use the ScholarshipUniverse matching platform?
    Newly admitted and current UNF students who have established their UNF ID (N-number) and password.
  • What types of scholarships are available through ScholarshipUniverse?

    There are two types of scholarships available through ScholarshipUniverse: Internal UNF Scholarships and External Scholarships.

    Internal UNF Scholarships 

    These are scholarships that are offered by the University of North Florida. You'll be automatically matched to potential awards based on your major, GPA, and other information UNF already knows. If you are awarded a non-application scholarship, we'll email your UNF account.

    You can also maximize your scholarship opportunities by answering matching questions within ScholarshipUniverse that end in "(UNF)". 

    External Non-UNF Scholarships

    In addition to being matched for our internal scholarships, you can search for Non-UNF scholarships within the ScholarshipUniverse Platform. This refers to scholarships that are not offered by UNF. They may be offered by local, state or national organizations and have been vetted by ScholarshipUniverse to ensure the scholarships are coming from a reliable source. 

    You can be matched with scholarships based on a variety factors such as your major, financial need, hobbies, interests and more. The more ScholarshipUniverse questions you answer, the more potential scholarships you will be matched to!

  • How will I know if I receive a scholarship that I applied for through ScholarshipUniverse?

    For Non-UNF Scholarships, you will be notified directly by the organization that is awarding the scholarship. 

    If you are the recipient of a UNF Scholarship, you will be notified via email at your UNF email account. 

  • What else should I know about ScholarshipUniverse?
    • You should update your ScholarshipUniverse profile frequently. Information such as GPA, number of credits taken, class standing, etc. can affect your scholarship matches.
    • We only use your information for scholarship purposes. All data collected will be used strictly for matching you to scholarships and for UNF departments to select recipients for their scholarships.
    • Although parents cannot log into ScholarshipUniverse, they are encouraged to help students with obtaining required documents for the scholarship application process.
