Gabrelcik Finishes Pair of Rounds at Valspar Championship
Current and former Ospreys played amongst the top competitors in professional golf, as Nick Gabrelcik and Kevin Aylwin both put together a pair of rounds at the 2024 Valspar Championship from Thursday, March 21 to Saturday, March 23 on Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort.
Gabrelcik made his second appearance in a PGA Tour event in his career after making his professional debut at the same tournament just a year ago. He had a second-round score of 4-under 67 to tie for the lowest round on the day under a sponsor's exemption and as the lone amateur in the field.
Aylwin, who played with the Ospreys from 2007-12, also competed with Gabrelcik in the first two rounds of the Valspar Championship. The UNF alumnus qualified for his first-ever PGA Tour event nearly 12 years after turning professional.
Gabrelcik will return to the North Florida squad for the regular season finale at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial hosted by Virginia on Monday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 9 in Charlottesville, VA.
