UNF excels in Higher Education Research and Development report

The National Science Foundation recently released its annual Higher Education Research & Development (HERD) report and the University of North Florida jumped 12 spots in the rankings from the previous year, based on research and development expenditures of almost $16 million. This ranking puts UNF alongside universities such as Cal State Long Beach, UNC Wilmington, and Fordham University. More notably, UNF’s new position reflects a jump of over 120 places in the rankings since 2014.

The HERD report is best known for ranking universities throughout the nation on internal investments in R&D and external contracts and grants, as well as annual expenditures.
